After more than a decade of advocacy, a majority of injection wells in Athens County are suspended

Athens County activists fought for more than a decade to shut down local fracking waste injection wells. Now the majority of them have been suspended after the Ohio Department of Natural Resources found they pose an “imminent danger to the health and safety of the public.”
